Hello all, I have a problem with the dipper on my LW 7 BH. when fully extended it drifts down on its own, also the dipper has no power to dig. I can raise it up and down no problem. As it drifts down you can hear a light chatter coming from the ram. Any suggestions? Its mounted on my Jinma 354. All the other functions are working normal. Opened up the spooler and changed the O-rings and back up rings. Everything in the spooler looked good. Thanks in Advance…………. Mike

Sounds like you might need to rebuild that cylinder as it is bypassing fluid past the piston seals.

maybe im incorrect but i thought the individual "valves" that control the rams were called spoolers. i couldve picked up someones slang word as well.I need help with this one as well LOL

talk to the mechanic at work they are called spool valves. sorry for the mistake everyone.

Rebuilding hydraulic cylinders is pretty simple and straightforward – once you get them on the workbench, some you can do right on the unit.
What are your capabilities, and what resources do you have to work on it?

it of late reply lol.
sometimes it just the bolt on piston that has come loose.
very easy to sort. it will be easier to open on tractor, or atleast crack open the gland cap then remove, i just undo the rod as dont see the point struggling to hold ram whilst undoing the gland cap.
