I have a FarmPro 2425 w/o FEL. I would like to add a remote hydraulic valve with pressure relief. I have a closed center valve rated at 8GPM.
I have a manual, but I can't find a specification for the hydraulic system flow rate.
* What is the GPM for the pump?
* Would this 8GPM valve be compatible with the 2425 hydraulic system?
Thanks,
Kent

If it's an eight GPM valve then you probably have a seven GPM pump, or thereabouts. Larger capacity valves will work on smaller systems but they will cost considerably more and are larger in size too.

These have an open center system so I can't see using that valve. Where do you want the remote and what for? Ranch Hand on our dealers list has a remote kit, you may want to check that out.

I will cut right to the chase. DO NOT put that closed center valve on your tractor. That's totally a horse of a different color.

Thanks to both SpringValley and tinbender for telling me it's an Open Center instead of Closed Center System. I don't know where I got the information that it was Closed Center. I went back and read my manual and you are both correct, it's Open Center.
Thanks for preventing me from creating a serious problem.

Kent,
Interesting and that incorrect info must be catching. Just left another site and one of the responders identified 2 sites that said it was a closed system. I sent one site an Email and will call the other tomorrow so they can fix their information.
