Hi forum,Just recieved a new main gear shifter to replace my broken one in my Jinma 254.I cannot remember the correct position of the two slotted guide that the shift lever tang is guided by(bolts to the cover and sits over the shift lever spring and spring retainer). It will bolt in several ways but only works one way.Without all the trial and error can anybody tell me the correct mounting? Thanks,Don L

All right,As is often the case I corrected my own problem. The Farm Pro manual calls the plate I am having trouble with the "selector guide".It can be positioned two different ways but only one way is correct. The correct mounting position is on the same side of the transmission cover that the dipstick hole is.I took a picture of it with my phone but service is terrible ,as usual .Will post that picture later.Don

Thanks Don. Although I don't own a Jinma I think pictures of situations like you have are very helpful to the others on the board. Words can often be misunderstood but a good picture makes it obvious.
