Hi guys, The topic might look familiar, like one you saw but couldn't read earlier. It is – just had to clear some admin hurdles. Anyway, with the tractor, I hadn't used it for a few weeks and went out to mow some grass when as soon as I started to climb the slope of my land oil began spurting from the breather(drilled holes) in the lifter box filler plug. The lifter seemed to work OK though. I hadn't changed the oil or topped up the oil prior to this. Can it be a blocked filter, as I've never pulled this out. Perhaps the filter is washable, there is no mention in the manual. Is there someone who can supply or recommend a supplier prepared to ship parts to Australia if filter or other bits need replacement.

Also, when checking the oil level in this lifter box, there is a dipstick attached to the filler plug. Should the level be checked with the plug screwed in or just resting on top. The difference in oil level would be more than an inch I reckon.

Any advice would be appreciated

The fill level should be read with the plug resting on the hole, not screwed in.

A number of these Chinese tractors seem topee hydraulic fluid when going up steep grades, due to the location of the breather on top of the lift box.  Some guys just cobble together an extension of the breather by running a tube from it up the side of the ROPS and this solves the problem.

Almost any of the dealers who respond here, such as Affordable Tractor Sales, Blue Chip, etc, can supply you with parts if needed and will happily ship to OZ.

Check the level without screwing it in. Mine does the same as yours, if I don't overfill it doesn't happen that often.
