Oh, those viruses! Too bad, you and a few others have, after all, saved my Jinma bacon since Spring 2004!

Ah, it's staring to come back. Twice I repaired/replaced the (broken) c-clip, once the whole shaft. I think, now that I DO think, that I should perhaps start by opening the gear box top and take a look inside, just to see that all is well on that end?

Hell, what are YOU still doing up? I'm in Hawaii where it's 8:30 PM!

Hans, undo the clamps holding 4WD tubing togather then pry the ends off orings at each end with a large screw driver, once tube is collasped grab the spring loaded end and push it in and drop shaft. As said earlier balls will drop out. check your couplings for wear. If you have your parts book it should have a exploded view showing everything. We will have any part you need in stock for your tractor.

This is going to be an easy repair. The front circlip was broken, the retainer had slid back, the balls had fallen out and there was no connection. Got parts at Ace locally; should be back to normal by end of day.
