        Is it a scissor lift or just a single cylinder? How big is the trailer?

        $550.00 sounds like a reasonable price

        Want to keep costs down?

        People have been known to just use a farm jack to raise the front of the trailer.

        You could also use one of the long hydraulic jacks like those on engine hoists.
