        Sounds like the pump maybe dead heading ,loosen the bolts up on the pump the ones that hold the pump together ,see if that helps, if yes it could be your pump body is warped ?kit not installed correctly, ect. There are 2- different pump kits, one is thinner than the other

         

        Also check your quick connects to make sure they are seated correctly

            OK. Here's my latest.  Replaced the hydraulic pump.  Worked fine for about 15 minutes while grading drive.  Then the tractor began to smoke abnormally on deceleration and the FEL stopped working.  The power lift worked.  I'm at a loss.  Any help would be appreciated.

              What color was the smoke, and what do you mean by “smoke abnormally on deceleration.”?

                Thanks for replying.  Situation has been resolved.  The seal between the hydraulic pump and the engine failed allowing hydraulic fluid to over fill the crankcase causing the smoking.  The hydraulics failed obviously from the loss of fluid.  Replaced the seal and changed the oil and added fluids.  Everything working normal now.

                  Most of the time what causes that seal to fail or blow out is a deadhead situation, keep a close eye on it

                    Really don't know how to ask questions but my rear hydraulics on a farm pro 25 hp is working very slow.  The front bucket seems to be working fine. temp outside is around 25/30.  Is there a different hydraulic fuel fill for rear or is their only one fill.  Where is that fill so I can make sure I am puttling fluid in the correct place.  Thanks

                      The hydraulic fill is behind the seat for the 3- point lift and the loader, you prob. have a separate Pump and res. for the power steering. What type of Hydraulic oil are you using ? We recommend AW032 Wt. oil, Universal Hydraulic oil is 46 wt I think. SO the thinner oil will work faster in the colder climates

                          hey tommy, does my jinma 254 have a separate res/pump for the power steering.  I was not aware it did

                            dogdoc, some do and some don't. Easy enough to spot though. If you have two pumps you have two pumps, one right in front of the other, and a 1 liter (roughly) reservoir in front of the radiator. Here's a pic…
