        I made my bucket forks out of 1×3 tubing, I think. I've lifted the rear wheels off the ground with a box scraper as a counterweight so they're plenty strong enough. I'll measure them and post the exact size. The steel, 1/4″ chain and binders came in just under 50 bucks.

          Heres a thread from another site. I used an old pallet truck,(free) stripped it down and made a set that could also be used adapted to my loader arms. Adding a hydraulic top link makes them more usable. I like them as I can carry an extra heavy load as needed.

            depending on what you are moving I was stretching 1/4 inch chain ,I went to 3/8 chain and binders ,I guess you need to look at your lift cap. and load strength on the chain
