        Hal,
I have been leery about the Social Networks since they started, especially Facebook who has made some significant mistakes in sharing information (not realized by the participants). (In fact I am considering not moving to Win10 for any of my devices because Microsoft is presently leaving too many sharing options in an ‘open’ condition when releasing the software.)

I realize that you are the owner of the site, but when I enter personal information and thoughts – I tend to think of it as “our” site (meaning all members).

How was the decision made to share info with Facebook? Are there other sites in a ‘sharing’ mode?

I would like to get a better understanding about what information from this site is being shared.

        Thank you,
        RonJ

          • No information is shared with Facebook in any way. However  people find our website from Facebook and  that is the purpose to get traffic to our site for people looking for help about tractors.

We have updated our TWITTER account as well to also post TOPIC questions for those that want to follow us through a TWITTER feed as well. Not required, just moving us to modern technology! Our TWITTER address for those interested is:  https://twitter.com/ctoanet  (to see what new topics have posted)

All Members, please know that we are NOT SHARING personal information on those social sites, we are simply using them to display NEW QUESTIONS posted in our FORUMS !   It is being used as a media tool to promote our site using today’s most popular social sites where people can FOLLOW us that are or are not members to see what is being discussed about on our site.  This is all part of revitalizing our web presence and support for those looking for help about their Chinese tractor and bulldozer needs.

Our sites forums have always allowed anyone to VIEW them for FREE, but only require a one time membership fee to be able to interact within them etc. I think that is a fair model and that small $15 fee keeps a lot of SPAMMERS off our site which is very important to all of us. (1,200+members strong)
