        Looking for cross reference on the seals in my LW7 backhoe.

        Sorry, but there is no printed cross reference available specifically for Chinese backhoes. Your best bet is to find a local hydraulic shop that stocks, or can acquire, metric sized components. Do you have the manual for your hoe? It will list the part number and dimensions of seals and O-rings. All cross referencing will be done by dimensions, not part numbers.

        You can try this:

        or go here:

        Good luck.

          Thanks for the info. I do have the very vague manual that came with the hoe. Unfortunatly it has a list of seals with no explanation as to where they are installed on the cylinders……

            Take pictures and document the disassembly. Assemble in reverse order. No problem.

              Metric oil seals are more or less straight forward as the size is stamped on the seal.  for example 20 47 7 indicates that the inside diameter is 20mm, OD is 47mm & width 7mm. Many seals have different lip arrangements.

              SC=R21 & TC=R23 being the most common R21=Single Lip R23=Double Lip

              So for example if you had on your oil seal TC 20 47 7 you would now know that you would need a double lip seal with a 20mm inside, 47mm outside & 7mm width.

                I think he may be referring to the cup seals and wiper rings, and their placement on the pistons.
