        this might work find a metric thread pitch gauge , it will have to be kinda on the larger size and see if you get lucky on it being s standard metric thread ,maybe pioneer fittings will have something that will work once you know what thread the hoses or pipe ends are.

          The dash 6 number designates a 3/8″ SAE/JIC fitting with 9/16″ or 5/8″ x 20 tpi. The corresponding metric fitting would have a thread of 18mm x 1.5.

          I’m not totally clear on what you are trying to do.

                    I don’t know what being trolled is, doesn’t sound good.  I don’t spend my days on the computer. I responded to an email I received from CTOA assuming because I received the posts,  my reply would be posted, if not anyhow you would receive it.                     <span style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”>Rob, repaired a FEL hose that I snapped off on a tree branch. Repaired with one of those emergency repairs, where you screw the outer part over the hose counterclockwise and then the inner section of the coupling clockwise inside the hose.  Then a 3/8″ to 1/2″ converter which I have tapped to a thread which is similar to what the </span>jinma<span style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”> uses and seems to seal. </span>Eventually<span style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”> like to replace this with the correct thread, so I posted asking if anyone knows what the thread really is and where do others get replacement couplings. ( Have replaced HYD cylinders with Magister hyd which are #8 coupling).</span>

                          I’m not sure what size/style your tractor has because Jinma seems to like to change things up without warning.

                          My 2006 284 front end loader uses European DIN fittings in some places and metric o-ring face fittings in other places.

                          The dealer I bought the tractor from doesn’t have a clue about hydraulic hoses and fittings so I had to go searching on my own. Caterpillar dealers can get some of the DIN fittings and custom make hoses with different ends. When I worked there, they had nothing in the metric o-ring fittings. However, you can find some adapters to go to JIC fittings. This is expensive, but at least you can get hoses with JIC ends made just about anywhere.

                          If you can post pictures of your fittings and maybe measure them using this guide maybe we can figure out what you have and what you need.

                            I had another thought, is it possible to replace the male ends on the hydraulic rams with Standard fittings?

                              If the cylinders fittings are welded in they will need to be dissembled to be cut out and new one’s welded in  I would think (heat and hydro seals do not mix) . But if you have access to a machine shop adapters should be able to be made to convert what ever to what ever. But I have not had a lot of luck finding people with skills and or time to do small things like that around here.

                                I agree with David.

                                Strip down your cylinders and take them to a welding shop along with the fittings you want to use, but then you will still have to buy two new JIC hoses per cylinder PLUS one adapter for each hose. Or just buy the metric ORFS to JIC adapters for around $30 each (two per new JIC  hose). It would be an expensive process to reinvent the wheel and change over all the fittings to JIC. Your best bet is to accept what you have and use the appropriate fittings. ORFS fittings are used world wide and very popular on heavy equipment.

                                    Anyhow. I am on the road right now and just wanted to thank Davis, Rob, Piper and mark for your helpful ideas. When I get home I will try and reduce these photos by on my phone to a WordPress acceptable size so I can post them, and then try some of these ideas.  :good:
