I needed a small coolant recovery tank to put on my 06 McConnell Marc 425 XL ( Jinma 254). Everything I looked at was just to big and there’s not a lot of room under the hood. I found this old water bottle and it looked like it might work. I knocked out the check balls and pulled the steel part back through about half way through the cap. I put a piece of small plastic fuel line long enough to reach the bottom. I used a couple large radiator clamps and a piece of flat stock to mount it. It tucked in right under the head light and is not blocking anything

I guess we shall see . what was the bottle before, do you think it will take the heat if there is a boil over.

duh rabbit bottle I think it is a heavy enough plastic to take it, so it should work. I had the same issue trying to find a small enough reservoir and where to put it.

Larry has it right, a cold level and a hot level. There should always be coolant in the reservoir, that means there is no air in the radiator or the cooling system, and that’s a good thing.
