It’s my understanding that there are two different filters available.

What size are your threads? (Diameter and pitch, SAE or Metric)

          Thanks Bob,

Diameter is 0.70″ and I believe it's SAE but a Metric thread gauge fits in very close also.  I any case what are the two filters available ???

              Tommy,

Thanks for the reply.  Yes that is the correct number JX0710 both installed on the tractor and the replacement filter in the tool box.  That came with my NEW JINMA 254.

something you might want to think about ,I can not remember which dealer it was but,if your filter housing has a removeable nipple that holds the oil filter, someone makes a new one with a different thread so more common filters can be used.like I can not remember the thread size but the filter I use now is a ph8a .you can get them anywhere.really I had a housing that had a fixed nipple I bought a new housing with the removeable nipple and the adaptor so filters would be easier to find.

Take the new one to the local auto parts store, see if they can cross it over for you

Something to watch out for, I did a cross reference for a JX85100-c oil filter to a Baldwin number it crossed to a B7451. It has a 19psi bypass valve. I installed it on my Tytan 403 crawler. I operated it for about 3/4 hr. and loss all the oil pressure. My son is a mechanic and did a lot of checks finally reinstalling the old filter before getting my oil pressure back. Does anyone know if the Baldwin cross reference number for the JX85100-c is wrong or what the problem could be. Where can I buy the original JX85100-C oil filters?

I have never heard of an oil filter causing loss of oil pressure. You have something else going on. Maybe a stuck open relief valve, broken pump/drive, no oil? Do I understand correctly that your oil pressure returned to normal when you reinstalled the old filter?

Which engine do you have? Tytan also marketed the Yuchai with a four cylinder engine.

I reinstalled the old oil filter and my oil pressure returned to normal. My engine is the 3 cylinder diesel. I don't know a whole lot as the translated manual I have is not very enlightening. the B7451 filter is actually a fuel filter. I don't know if they make an oil filter that is different to that or not. Does anyone know where to buy an original oil filter? Thank you for all the good info.

So then you have the Jaing Dong (JD) TY395 engine?

I use the B2 (NAPA 1515) on mine but I have the SAE threads.

The B7451 is actually a lube oil filter according to Baldwin, the maker.

                          Check it out here.

Don't know how you came up with the fuel filter application.

It's quite possible you have a defective filter.

                          Your filter & manufacturer.

                          Note – by comparison:

The Caterpillar D-3 manuals are particularly enlightening, very educational, and extremely informative. About $450.00 for the set, and readily available.

Only as a last resort would I ever go to Tytan for parts, but there are many dealers that support this website that stock filters for the TY395 engine.

                            Bob,

Back to the JX0710 crossover.  What two filters are you thinking about????

One has SAE threads, the other has metric threads.

The NAPA 1515 has SAE threads. Don't remember the other NAPA filter number but the guys at NAPA can tell you.

                                            Thanks pjr,

Looks like the right filter.  It was a “job” trying to find a cross-over.

Now on to getting the correct oil capacities which we should be using for both of our tractors.  If you find out please let me know.
