I'm not familiar with a Taishan, but on other Chinese tractors, the PTO should have nothing to do with the 3-point hitch working.  That should run off the main hydraulic pump, not off a secondary pump.  Most of the 25 hp series of Chinese tractors use one engine-mounted and driven hydraulic pump to handle the power steering, FEL and TPH.  How is your Taishan plumbed?

Anyone have a parts manual to something comparable?

The link you posted seems to be invalid.  Have you traced the hydraulic plumbing on your tractor to see where it goes?

You might try posting your request on this site: http://tractorbynet.com/forums…..-tractors/ to see if you get a response,  I believe one of the regular posters there formerly owned a Taishan and may have the manuals available.

That's a bargain, considering a set of manuals for a Cat D3 can run around $450.00.

Well, I don't feel like its a bargain.  I would like a refund through paypal.  Already initiated it. Thats 15$ that I need.

I'm not trying to be mean so don't take this the wrong way, but if you are doing your own repairs on an unfamiliar piece of equipment and can't afford a measly $15 bucks for a manual, how are you going to afford the repairs?hmmm Especially the problems you create because you don't have a manual, that cost more than $15 to fix?readin

                          You don’t feel like it’s a bargain??

What do you consider a bargain to be anyway?

If you don’t have $15.00 for a manual, then you don’t have $15.00 for parts.

                          Good luck to you.

Maybe he's referring to the $15.00 CTOA membership fee.

If $15 is a deal-breaker, then you best not own a tractor or any other piece of equipment that moves.

Some people expect something for nothing and you just can't please them no matter what you do. If his beef is with $15 for manuals, he's living in a past era and if his beef is with the $15 to support this site, then he's not serious about being a part of the community here.  Either way, it's his choice and no skin off my nose.  hmmm

Tinbender, I'm referring to membership.  And I did fix the problem without a manual.

Rich, its not 'something for nothing', it's nothing for 15$.

The logic is backwards. I asked on my first post for a manual and you responded to go to TBN and try posting there -maybe i'd have some luck with finding manuals.. well wtf isnt this he Chinese Tractors Association or am i in the wrong place???

I went over to TBN and I found guys who I never gave a penny to guiding me through it, who dont even own Chinese tractors, so obviously I want my money back..

Is that illogical if I don't consider it a bargain?

As I said, if you think $15 is too much money to support a site that provides a forum for owners to exchange information, then you obviously don't want to be par tof the community here.  I have no problem with that – we can't please everybody all the time.  But you should know that a site like this takes money and effort to maintain and I think it only fair that Hal gets some support from those who derive benefits from the site.  Fifteen bucks is less than dinner and a movie, after all.  If fifteen bucks means the difference between eating Little Friskies and tuna fish, then I'd say you really can't afford to own a tractor at all.  But that's just my opinion and does in no way reflect the opinion or policies of this site or its owner.  Personally, I think fifteen bucks is a bargain for all the knowledge I've gained from the members here over the years.  Your mileage, as they say, may vary.

Of course, it was here that you were referred to TBN where you found the guy I was referring to – you think that's worth nothing?  Tell you what – since the fifteen bucks is such a big deal to you, send me your address and I'll send you the fifteen bucks.  Then you won't have any reason to think you've been taken advantage of.  Fair enough?

you won’t get any money back. You were provided a service and accepted the terms. This site is supported by the members not advertising. Easy as that.

Stick around, I think you'll find that your fifteen bucks was actually a very worthwhile investment in peace of mind, abstract information not available elsewhere and just plain fun.  Bob Rooks is incredibly knowledgeable about diesel mechanics across the whole spectrum form little Chinese tractors to whomping big ocean-going vessels and the other guys here have lots of knowledge about their respective tractors and other valuable minutia.  Tommy from Affordable Tractor Sales is a frequent adviser here and always has accurate information and is also a great parts resource, as are the other dealers how participate here.  Your membership fee is good for life (not just sure whose life), so you'll end up getting it back several times over in great advice if you stick around.  We ain't pretty , but we are pretty good guys in general.  Well, some of them are, anyway.roflmao

Should they pay a fee to help you? How about people that never ask for help but always provide help.  They had to pay a fee in order to do that.  Do you really think that you are getting the short end?  Something to think about.
