        That is fairly normal.

Just drain the injector pump (there should be a drain plug at the bottom) and refill through the top vent (mushroom shaped). You will likely need to unscrew the vent – in my case a 9/16″ wrench worked well. Refill with 30wt engine oil or whatever the manufacturer recommends.

remember about how often you have to do this to keep the excess diesel out of the pump this will extend the life of the pump but you still have a issue that one day will have to be addressed. I believe that parts for these pumps are not available here and the pump will have to be replaced. but check as all things change. Oh and a rebuild would have to be done at a diesel shop if you could get parts unless you are very qualified.

The parts for these injection pumps and governors are not available to the consumer, for obvious reasons.

The barrel and plunger assemblies are individually lap fitted, and there are no seals to prevent cross contamination. Some leakage is to be expected but not enough to fill it. If you have excessive leakage you have run some very dirty fuel through it or have diesel bug corrosion. The only remedy is to replace the barrel and plunger assemblies and have the pump assembly recalibrated, but you can't do that so the only options open to you is to replace the entire assembly or keep a close eye on the oil level and drain and refill as necessary. Do not allow the pump to fill up. The oil lubricates the camshaft that lifts the plungers. Diesel fuel is not a good lubricant for this purpose.
