        Yes, it's doable, but consider:

        1) Any ROPS certification will be lost unless you are a certified welder.

        2) Are you short in stature? wink

        3) The sweeps will also have to be shortened.

          Thanks Bob

I'am 5'10″  . i believe i can make it happen. I was a Cert. pipe Welder , Not current now.

Yes, i see that the sweeps will need to be shortened also.

          Thanks Again

Don't know what I was thinking. To shorten the ROPS all you need to do is cut off the amount you need from the ends of the four stanchions and drill new holes for the pins.

Transfer hole locations before you cut. Wouldn't that be easier?

My rops has two pin holes on each post to set the height. I dropped it down so the ends were sitting on the deck. Wouldn’t want it any lower – and I’m a short guy.

Hello again. Just complemented the little dozer with a full scrub canopy out of 1/2″ weave mining screen mesh. I feel confidently indestructable now. Next to complete is the root rake and then I’ll start the track guards. Nice work on the updated site Hal. Many thanks.

Nice work on the canopy, I would feel safe with that protection around me!
