There are diesel shops in China, just like here. You knew it was uncharted territory for you, but you went there anyway.
I suggest that you spill time it.

“General Purpose”?? What does that mean?
What is the ISO rating?
Most everyone uses ISO AW 32 or ISO AW 46 HYDRAULIC OIL.
Not machine oil, R&O oil, or ATF. Universal Tractor Fluid (UTF) is not recommended for straight hydraulic systems. nor is Marvel Mystery Oil.

But to answer your question; Yes, but it would have to be a leak of such magnitude that other symptoms would prevent operation of the system first. These are very inexpensive pumps, and as such are not very forgiving.

No offense Super-T but Rich took the words right out of my mouth. I bought a photo tach from Harbor Freight. Works great!

Bob thats not true either, all the Jinma 254/284 tractors have a 6 spline PTO with 540/1000 Speeds.
Then how does that work when the 1,000 r/m implements have 20/21 splines? Is there an adapter of some sort included?

the forward position (lever to the rear of tractor) is the 540rpm, right?
I'm sorry man, that just doesn't make sense to me – “forward position …. to the rear?”
I believe on most tractors the 540 r/m range would be pointed towards the engine.

Small correction to Rich's post. The two speeds are 540 r/m and 720 r/m at rated engine speed (check with photo tach). The 1,000 r/m PTO's have 20 and 21 splines.

Are your brakes air over hydraulic or straight air?
Do you have a treadle valve?
Curious; How can you operate the tractor without using any brakes?

Your marine store probably stocks the Cole-Hersee key switch equivalent which is much better quality than the Ford switch anyway.

I think you might have them confused with load check valves, which, quite frankly, I'd be surprised to see on these tractors. I doubt if there is three or more separate relief valves. One is all that is needed, or one per pump.

Hi Al,
My guess is that clutch is in a Guilin dozer. I think Yuchai made some big improvements when they took them over. No doubt they read some of your older posts and took them to heart.

My loader functions seem a little slow, especially the bucket in the dump function.
You will have to get a valve that has a regeneration spool detent (regen) that allows the oil to take a shortcut. Cross, Vickers, Prince, et al make a real loader valve with regen and float functions. Surplus Center is currently out of stock, that's where I bought mine
