      Trivia:

Technically speaking, they are referred to as Coolant Recovery Reservoirs (CRR's) or Coolant Expansion Reservoirs (CER's) because the coolant is drawn back into engine as it cools, eliminating radiator top tank air pockets. They can be located almost anywhere.

Sorry I can't be of any real help. frown

Just remove the sending unit and install a mechanical gauge in its place.

You will need a male metric to female NPT adapter (unless you can find a metric threaded gauge).

As Rich said. I should have been more specific – a mechanical gauge.

“What torque value would you use on the injector fuel line bolt (banjo bolt?)?”

I think that's an 8mm, so 8-12 ft. lbs. It's not holding back any pressure so just snug will do.

What torque value would you use on the two bolts holding the injector in place?

I think those are 10mm, so 15-22 ft. lbs. If they are grade 8.8 or better then ~33 ft. lbs.

The first thing I would do is check the gauge against a known quantity. In other words, a gauge that is known to be reliable and properly calibrated.

I know how violent those controls can be. Try slowing your engine down some. Another trick you can do is put restrictors in the hydraulic hose couplings, you don't lose any power, just the erratic movements. Many have done this and enjoyed the success.

                    Welcome to CTOA Post,

                    I used to own a LW-6.

The swing cylinders are single acting. The brass fitting in the end is an air filter to keep dirt and debris out of that end of the cylinder.

What has happened in your case is the cup seals on the piston have blown, letting oil by, and collecting in the unused portion of the cylinder.

Time to repair or replace that cylinder. My guess is that you were using boom swing to move dirt with the side of the bucket – that's a no-no with these particular hoes. Kits are available through Circle-G and various other dealers that support this site

The accumulator stores about 40-60 pounds of pressure against the oil in the shift circuit. You should be able to draw down that pressure by shifting the lever quite a few times without the engine running. Listen closely to see if you can hear the servos actuating.

If were my dozer, I'd have a pressure gauge for that. But then you know how I am about gauges – I like to know what's going on. wink

I have yet to see a repair manual for any of these Chinese tractors, including the dozers, but I have heard rumors that Northern Tool has one that covers the models that they market.
