Hi Joe, welcome to CTOA.
Are you sure it's the alternator that went bad? Did you have it checked? Did you check and clean all the related electrical connections? It's more common to have the voltage regulators fail. Does the red LED on the voltage regulator light up when you turn the key switch on?

Delco alternators come in a variety of flavours, meaning they are not all the same. Which one did you have in mind and what are your anticipated electrical loads?
Almost all alternators have three wires, some have more. Some alternators have the voltage regulator built in (integrated), others do not.

I think all of the supporting dealers listed on this site ship world wide.
Give one of them a call.

I asked him that but he wasn't sure what type of clutch the dozer has.
I assume that to mean input shaft size, number of splines etc., and I must admit I don't know for sure either. Our only hope in finding out is to inquire of “gdw” since he has his torn down that far. Maybe one of the other dealers or Northern Tool might know the dimensions.

I agree. Ronald is your go-to-guy.

Rich:
“That's the only bushing I can think of Bob, and if that one is getting eaten by the gear oil you have more serious problems than just a worn bushing.
“Oh yeah.

I seriously doubt there is any brass of any kind in any part of the drive train on either the dozers or the wheelies since there are no synchro clutches anywhere, and all of the bearing are ball, roller, or tapered roller. The only bearing I can think of would be the bronze pilot bearing in the flywheel.

Notice in the video that the dozer is parked on quite an angle with the nose high, so actually the hoe is high on the dozer. My head is almost even with the ROPS. Ideally though it is low on the ground.

For batteries I use CRC Tech Grade Battery Cleaner, and CRC Tech Grade Battery terminal and Post Protector.
For metal protection I use ZEP Iron Clad. I use it on all exposed metal that I don’t want to rust including hydraulic rams that are laid up for long periods.
