Their technology has improved a lot over the years and they are now probably equivalent to a Luberfiner. Since they are only an auxilliary partial-flow filter they can't do much harm. I made reference to them because of Toby's “OUTRAGEOUS” price remark. Toby has never been filter shopping at a Cat dealer, obviously, nor is aware of the advantages of a high quality oil filter.

You can contact Yuchai directly here, but first I think you should determine if it is a YC-13 or a YC-15.
Here is a Google search of Yuchai excavator parts dealers.
One of our members, “larryinalabama” has one of the YC-15's but haven't heard from him in awhile.

Update on my steering brake mod. It works great and I'm very pleased with it's functioning. There is a better feel for when the clutch releases and the brake is applied. There is also less pedal movement required.
I tried to take some pics and a video but the space where all the action takes place makes it almost impossible.

Hi Dennis, welcome.It would be great to have a pic of the valve lever layout but I don’t think you can post pics as a guest.
How many levers do you have? Have you tried moving them slowly to test their function?
Mini excavators are all pretty much the same and follow standard operating conventions.
What are the names of the manuals you have for it?
Some info: “18 HP mini excavator with 2100 RPM engine, backfill blade and 16in. bucket. 9 RPM platform swing speed and a backhoe volume of nearly three cubic feet. Digging arm swings 50 to the right and 45 to the left. 30 gradeability ensure performance in hard-to-reach areas.”
Pretty sure it’s the (older model) Yuchai YC15-6 with the Laidong engine.

Checked Java, I'm good. I had an older version of Java on board collecting dust and got rid of it. Still no change.
Six hours to change out sixteen plugs? WOW! Still, that doesn't seem bad compared to lifting the whole cab off the chassis to change injectors in my truck, I think, because you can't even see them let alone touch them.

I run three computers. I have cleared cache & cookies on all of them – no difference. Same symptoms on all three.
I have all of the appropriate icons, tree, filmstrip, etc. All work fine.
What I still cannot do is is click the Browse tab at the upper left of the SimplePress browser without getting the infamous “500” error.
