Too bad you couldn't monitor your EGT's. Bet they were pretty high because of your axle ratio. Hope you didn't scorch anything.
You're just about right on guessing the weight of the dozer w/ backhoe.

Need a picture to verify this, but the soft DIESEL (not gas) fuel lines are on the top portion of the fuel injection pump, one at the rear out side and one at the front end. What are the others you are referring to?

There are separate hose sets already routed through the chassis by the factory. It was just a matter of capping off the blade tilt circuit and swapping four other hoses. Changeover used to take about 45 minutes with everything set up and ready to go, but I haven't done it since I completely revamped the dozer hydraulics. Next time I make the swap I'll replace a lot of hosing with steel tubes and valves.

Air, fuel, and compression is correct, but there is one element missing. Timing. They must occur in a specific sequence. If your compression release isn't working, you remove compression from the equation.
Clayton may be a “taker”. Gets all the info they need to effect repairs and never gives any feedback. Hundreds out there like that.

I have to ask how you did that. Pretty nice. Is that ridgid mounted, or is it still on the three-point hitch?
I found that the seals in my LW-6 didn't like synthetic hydraulic oil, it dissolved them.
