Howdy, I purchased a ZL-20 Cylinder a few years back from affordable tractor to replace the cracked cylinder I have. I finally want to get it installed but I have never been able to because the fittings I have do not match the new cylinder. The 90 degree in the rear and 30 degree fitting in the front are to large to fit into the threads of the new cylinder. the new cylinder appears to have a smaller threaded hole on both sides. Has anyone seen this issue? How did you fix it?

I have included a pic of old and new but it does not really tell very much.
        Thanks in advance!

        Tom

The old one is a little blurry. Does it use the same type of seal as the new one?

Please post a picture of the fittings as they used a couple of different styles on the loaders.

Measure the inside of the threads on the cylinders and the outside of the threads on the fittings. Post the measurements and we can figure out what you have. Then we can look for suitable adapters.

Hi Piper184. I should have included those pics. Sorry, It will be a couple of weeks till I get back up to my barn to take them again. I will measure the fittings with a thread guage and a micronometer in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the quick reply.

Ranch Hand Supply http://ranchhandsupply.com has fittings, hoses, and adaptors. I was able to convert my hoses to JIC with their adaptors.

Thanks Robert, I ended up drilling and re tapping the new cylinder to match the original and so far its all good.
