Hi from a recent new member.

This question has probably already been addressed but since I'm new I get to ask it again.

I have a Yuchai YCT3 Dozer and have used it a few times to clear the snow from the road leading up to the house. The dozer does a great job at doing
this, however, my question is this; is there an easy way to keep from tearing up the gravel road as I plow the snow off the road.

Is there an add on attachment I could put onto the dozer blade to keep it off the ground a few inches?

Like I said, an age old problem to some of you experienced hands. Please
        help. Thanks from a newbie

You could weld on brackets and add snowplow shoes so that they are adjustable and removable….

Yuchai doesn't make any bolt-on snow accessories that I know of, however there are some shoes at Northern Tool that you could easily adapt, but you would still have to use some finesse with the blade on loose gravel.

My suggestion would be to mount a pair of heavy duty pneumatic swivel casters to the backside of the blade and make them manually adjustable for height with jack screws. Then you can use the dozer's float position with no worries about gouging the gravel.

Take a look at this link for ideas to consider for implementing a solution on your blade.

Thanks for all the good suggestions; I will have to look into the blades shoes/wheel suggestion, sounds like a good idea. Sorry for the late response, I was laid up in the hospital for a few days, its a B- getting old…..thanks again.
