have you tried to find cast iron wheel weights, both of my tractors came with those so I have never needed any fluid or the hassle that goes with it. but dealing with the wheel weights when you work on the tire is a another matter! I use a shop crane.

I do not know if you have a farmers co-op near by but ours does that service with a alcohol mix.

I think I would go the route of antifreeze before window washer fluid, the only downside that I know of is if you got a big leak it would taint the ground for awhile. So if I was to do it do not put it in rotten tires and use tubes.

I do not know exactly but it depending on how much over, it might put your standing  oil level over a seal which is not designed to have standing oil on it so it might leak.

the dipstick looks much like the one on my 2005 204a lenar( dong feng) ,I was told by the importer/distrubtor(since out of business)the upper one is for the level if there is a fel the lower is for without.

I would like to know the min. temp is required for one of these to work .I have one of these on my jcb backhoe and I would like to test it with a digital lazer temp gauge. In the instruction book it says not to engage heater for more than 15 seconds .I have had issues with starting with temps below 40 f. I was told that some engines you can hear a pop when it ignites. I think I will put a amp meter inline to see the draw of the heater coil.

I know this is not much help but I have not seen anything about the gear cluster and diff. breaking , it has always been a axle shaft ,right at the bearing behind the steering u joint at the tires.I do not know which side. hopefully someone who has had this break will chime in. People who have had this fail I think all have had loaders to full creating to much traction when not going straight, for the quality of the engineered front end.(as the balls that fall out and shafts fail) I hope that is not taken badly,it is I wonder our faults for not watching the weight we put in these small tractors and not looking at the load spec. and following them . please do not beat on me to hard.

you might try to see if there is a drain plug  below the plug behind the seat if there is pull the drain plug and see is the gear box level changes. I have a 2006 foton ft 504a and it might be set up like yours with a separate tank for the power steering. the gear box uses 90 wt. gear oil ,then a reservoir behind the seat for the hydro lift and  aux. outlets.I use aw 32 in it. on mine also the fill plug behind the seat is a vent for the hydro. system. but your easily could be different. and on the dip stick on the trans. there is not much space in between the marks around 3/4 inch. but if you have two marks on the stick that would suggest that it is common sump. good luck

do you have a dip stick in the tranny with two marks on it? the higher one is for a tractor with a loader and the lower one is for one without. can you tell where the fluid to the power steering comes from? that might give you a clue if it is a common sump tractor. it might be a thing to do is get a rod and insert it into the plug behind the seat and see how deep it is and where you start getting oil on it.

that is a shame that the factory let it out the door like that , they should have done the re-engineering not you.
