well I was mowing again and ran out of fuel with a full tank .Ran a wire up thru the cut off valve and disloged whatever was restricting the flow of diesel.Drained the tank went to the store found a screen 6mmx1mm thread, tapped the topside of the valve placed the screen hope this takes care of the it, appears to be paint chips in the fuel tank.Guess this is going to have to do really do not have a good place for a strainer bowl, but hopefully this will keep the valve from getting plugged.

I think I will have to use a inline bowl if I can find one there is less that one inch to the side and the same below the shut off valve.I think I can find a suitable place on the side of the engine it would be nice to have a glass bowl instead of plastic,it is only a 20 hp so gph is low any ideas?

fix what you can with the fuel system ,maybe you will get lucky drain the pump put in fresh oil .If the running cures itself you found a restriction somewhere. If not and fuel ends up in the pump quickly ,its is pump time.

I know I did not mention it does not have a sediment bowl there is not much clearence where the fuel outlet is.I think that is why no bowl, just a turn off valve.what do you think of adding a medium size clear in line filter.I sure would like to have a visual point to check the fuel.Oh I did not also mention this is on the 2005 dong feng le204.

I use 15/40 diesel engine oil in the engine year round.and universal tractor fluid in anything hydro ,80/90 gl-4 or 5 on gears. It gets 100 f here and goes down to 10f normally.had no issues using this stuff. would love to visit your country sometime.

Does the oil pressure reduce slowly as it gets hot or does it go away all at once? And by chance did you restart it after a few moments and the oil pressure came up? I am wondering if it is maybe a restricted oil return hole under the valve cover, maybe the oil is mostly staying up there and starving the sump. But I think that might be unlikely but need to check out.

you know I as thinking maybe it could be something with the oil filter housing if it has a oil pressure adjuster that has gone wierd on you. I can not think of why but stranger things have happened.I am still thinking.

I assume that the oil seems normal ,no diesel in it.I think you need to drop the oil pan look for maybe a loose oil pump? Or a part or trash causing a restriction to the suction pick up? Good Luck

I assume that the gauge you are looking at is electric powered.I would find a place on the engine that a mechanical gauge can be placed. You might have to add a t fitting. they do not lie.
