I went to napa and we came up with napa 703-1412 fits well ,but is a 4 lbs. cap so I will be adding a coolant recovery bottle to control the puking of coolant that most likely will happen opening at ruffly half the designed pressure.
I will be courious to see if you have freeze up issues with the regulator when it is cold, they do make regulators meant to be used in cold weather appilications tho. When we had propane powered vechicles at work they used coolant off the heater circuit to flow thru the regulator to keep it from iceing.
I see the retaining wall, that must be quite a bit of hand work filling and packing the sidewalls , I do not know why but I was wondering is there anywhere in the US (california) where they (the govt) are going after people for using what they call has. mat. in buried appilications? I see people using them for house construction , that must be a real pain to get the thermo mass they are looking for.
try to stay with a closed case alt. as much dust and dirt a dozer kicks up a open cased alt. like a one wire delco will work just fine till it fills up with trash. right off hand I do not know of direct appilication replacements. good luck
I am kinda leaning at the steering cylinder as when the steering wheel turning is sending fluid to the cylinder it goes where you want it to go, when the fluid is stopped being sent it stops steering. so That is what makes me think the cylinder is bypassing. Of course I easily could be wrong. The cylinder would be also the much easier fix to do lets hope that is the problem. keep us informed as to what you find as I have a foton 504a so info. is always good to know.
there was two on alibaba for 1600.00 ea. plus whatever in shipping and import fees, better get it before they cut us off. can the block be rebuilt with a parts kit? I saw those too.
some of these tractors had a issue with bolts getting loose between engine and trans. causing shafts not to run true thru seals letting them leak. So splitting the tractor might be in your future. I can not remember the tractors involved with this problem.
I would run it for lets say 2 hours ,then drain the injector pump and look at the oil , feel it smell it and see if there is a lot of diesel in the oil just so you know that it might take more servicing than the book requires. I have a 204 dong feng and it also leaks diesel into the injector pump oil housing resivour. I look at it about every 25 hours of running time. But let me say this diesel in the injector pump is better than a dry one.
